Moneygram Troubles!

I called the and put in my tracking info and it came back available, chat Said it was available and speaking to Customer service said the same, but the website said otherwise.

The vendor said it was a no go. Not sure if reciever even tried to pick it up or they saw the status online and just called it off.. regardless I'm laying low with WU for now.

Has anyone endured any consequences when a receiver is "bad" (MG will not allow funds to the person - transaction declined)?  Just wondering if this could lead to negative future transactions, being flagged, banned, etc.  Or, will one bad apple not spoil the bunch?

@BellaDonna last y€ar I was banNed fr0m MG for a sh0rt t1me du€ to the SY sending me thr€€ blocked rece1vers in a r0w. 

I had t00 s€nd a CIM, haven’t att€mpted MG s1nce. I don't trust MG n0w. I st1ck with WU 1n p€rs0n only.

@Jstew318Does MG tell you, "you're banned" or " you can no longer use our service"?  In sum, how were you notified of the ban and what did they say?

And, when the receiver was "blocked", does MG use those words or do they say the receiver is risk and unauthorized to use the service?

I've NEVER had any problems with going in person to either western union or money gram I've never had to answer any questions other other than the receivers name city and amount.

I went through a similar experience a while back. Look over my posts and you'll see when. That's when I learned about virtual.

I had probs both with mg and with wu. I do not like taht sort of thing, makes me a little anxious.....

Speaking of frustration  (carry over from the last thread) my last transaction with good ole mg was denied. First time in all the years I have been using them and the funny thing is that this time I was trying to send to a friend in the US, it was NOT to a vendor. 

I called after they told me they were unable to pick up and I in turn called mg. They transferred me to the fraud department or whatever they call it and because it was someone who I know well I was able to answer all the questions. 

In the end what really made me angry was that they had zero interest in what I told them. They just kept repeating "we are not comfortable allowing this transaction because of suspicion it is a scam or fraud". Why shouldn't it be up to me if I want to risk my money? I felt like an idiot trying to say "hey, this is one of my best friends who I talk to every day and I am 100% positive it's not a scam". We're sorry we are not comfortable blah blah blah...

Now I am almost certain that my long run with mg will be over the next time I try to send to anyone even though they didn't say I was banned, I bet I will be. 

Guess I should have stuck to making vendor transactions as that was never a problem. Crazy huh?

I used RIa and my transaction was denied I don’t know why. So I used MG it worked! Thank god.

Lucky you, it doesnt matter who I send to send money but they have all been turned down, Ive tried my son, his friends, and its always denied, now I use the other one without any problem, no ID, easy breezy. Just waiting for them to decline me but so far so good. Keeping my fingers crossed not another ban!

Well I had issues logging into money gram and Spoke to a rep.. I am now banned from using their services.. Lucky I got one last fuck you out in time and my vendors receiver already picked it up.

@bdrc36 I see you are now on the banned list with a lot of us. at least all sy vendors don’t all care about who you use! I wish I had your luck that’s great it was already picked up! My sons friends that are sisters are living in the basement thak God, I totally lost control of my house because of spending more time down South than Denver. After i was banned I used my husband then son and friends. The last time I tried one of his friends. I believe anyone linked to my address  if they try sending they are axed as well. So if you have a good friend I was curious if someone who is banned could use a great friend and have it sent to their house. It seems like they banned my address as well. Just curious if anyone has ever tried. Welcome to the banned club, so sorry but it looks like I rarely see one getting through! What pisses me off, no offense to latino people who I have been friends with. I saw a latino man send $3000.00 to Mexico than my sons friend went and got the axe. And she’s partially Latino! So maybe theres a link to where its being sent. Just curious?

@Heavenlee TBH I was surprised it went this long without being banned lol.. I put in a lot of order through MG in the past few weeks. Service rep asked if I knew the ppl. I said no and They are ppl I purchase computer parts for cheap and flip in the US.. well they didn't buy it and banned me. I just hung up after that.

God you are smarter than me that’s great one, I used to say I bought rugs and ponchos you know the usual tourist stuff you see there! I sound like an idiot because at one place they were all over in Hollywood where my sister lives really chesp! Please give me a small portion of your brain because looking back at why I was sending money I always have a difficult time lying. I lied so much when I used so I definately try to be honest today but hell not on that one. Like I said welcome aboard to the banned members that cant use that service you’re incredibly lucky you got that one through in time, please pass that on as well I really could use it now! The other I have had absolutely no problems with, just tell the vendor who you plan on using!  Hang in there, love ; Heavenlee. Im writing @2earls now about you and Alicia, I will send out today I promise. My movers just called they are on their way, gotta do this crap first, moving is a pain in the arse!
