How about The Cove? It's a great documentary about the secret annual Japanese dolphin slaughter and it being exposed for the the world (won a ton of awards). Your family might find it boring or gruesome watching it. But I certainly did not.

I rate it a 10/10, 5 Stars.

If you are looking for a twist and turn also, this is a good one to pick up. I give it 4 stars as it started out with what seemed to be poor acting. However that changed and for a cool reason. At first I thought, great another love w/suspense movie. Wow did that turn into something different. Glad I decided to watch the entire thing

I'm a Thriller fanatic. I just saw Soderbergh's Side Effects and I say best movie of the year. Very pertinent to this community to b/c is't all about drugs. I'm a film critic and this is the review I wrote for it.

Drugs and depression. Steven Soderbergh takes both subjects head- on in Side Effects, a film that examines how the lives of a group of individuals inevitability become tied together by mental illness and chance.

Emily Taylor’s (Rooney Mara) life is on the brink of total collapse. After waiting four years for her husband to get out of prison, her depression finally overtakes her. She ends up in the Emergency Room after a failed suicide attempt. Here she encounters Doctor Jonathan Banks (Jude Law).

Jude Law doesn’t seem a likely psychiatrist, but it doesn’t matter, he pulls it off and all the other characters fall into line around him; although Jude Law is the heart of the film, Soderbergh is undeniably at the helm here. He is the brain. Soderbergh’s characters habituate their New York City with 100% believability, believability so intense in fact, it is haunting.

The viewer envies the characters and their glamorous lives, even more so as they destroy themselves. The viewer needs to remind themself that these characters do not exist, and this is a fiction, be it an excellently written one by Scott Z. Burns. As a screenwriter I watch this film as a lesson in how to build intersecting plot lines.

Banks comes across as a doctor legitimately interesting in helping people, so when Emily claims to be living in a depressive fog Banks takes on the task of trying his best to help her. Emily’s condition begins to improve, but in the midst of the improvement tragedy strikes, and it threatens to bring down both patient and doctor.

As a psychiatrist Dr. Banks did what psychiatrists do, he prescribed drugs. Then more drugs. Then even more drugs. Even though it seems absurd at times just how many medications are being dolled here, for anyone who has ever experienced psychiatric treatment, they will realize that these procedures are standard. So is this a jab at psychiatry’s habit of throwing handfuls of pills at people in mental distress? However mind-boggling it may be that the treatment for nearly every mental condition is medication, this film doesn’t come across as serious critique of psychiatric drugs, or the pharmaceutical industry.
There is a fog covering the whole film, figuratively in the melancholic tone, and literally in the shades of grey of the cinematography. This fog further complicates an already complex plot, but once you can piece together what has occurred, as I did hours afterwards, you will not be able to shake this film’s dark presence.
In the end it is not drug use that is being criticized here, but rather the avaricious soul-sucking void, the characters' needs to engulf their surroundings, and the sociopathic culture that made them this way.
Amazing 9.5/10

Good one above, watched it on demand, Ty 99 for the mechanist, just watched finally, Christian Bale rocks, great movie! Since I've gotten out of hospital I have had a ton of bed rest and have finally started watching Breaking Bad on Netflix since it seems to me I'm the only person on this planet who hasn't seen it! Love that I can watch a whole season in a day, two more to go, so no spoiler alerts even though I heard he dies!

Scarface, Goodfellas, The Departed, Platoon.

Oh, and the entire ocean's series!

Best zombie films I think is George Romero's films. Day of the dead etc. The remakes are petty good too. And of course resident evil is wicked awesome haha.

 1. M @ meepmoopmeep: @CalFresh if he was affiliated with Rockstar in any way then I’d completely understand him wanting to scrub clean. You probably know more about what happened, but people not in the know will assume the worst
 2. CalFresh @ CalFresh: exit scam? dude is running for his life. think he cares about a few hundred dollars you are losing? He didn't orchestrate some scam to bilk you out of a couple hundred dollars,He ghosted bc he looked up and saw laser sights on his forehead from every direction. Dude has served this community tirelessly, have some gratitude for what he's done for you and everyone else here. Put yourself in his shoes.
 3. Aarfgh @ Aarfgh: No better time to exit scam than when your largest competitor gets caught and is facing a life sentence. Can't say I'm surprised. I just feel for all those who lost money.
 4. M @ meepmoopmeep: see is obviously still around (see his activity). he prob just pussied out
 5. Finger-of-God @ Finger-of-God: im always curious why these folks shut down.
 6. M @ meepmoopmeep: See always seemed kinda sketch but couldn’t put my finger on it
 7. M @ meepmoopmeep: It’s nuts that C is now gone too. he shuttered his tg channel
 8. Finger-of-God @ Finger-of-God: Fridays are always fun! Preparing for the weekend rush
 9. Thoth @ Thoth: Happy Friday ! Let’s get it !
 10. L @ Layne_Cobain: Happy friday @jjjjjjjjj and everyone else time 4 chillin ‘n killin

 12. O @ ochemdim: @xenxra don’t sweat it, that’s part of investing, especially crypț0. Never invest (or bet) more than you can afford to lose, that’s rule #1. Also, if someone is right most of the time like you, that’s unusual and it’s awesome you’re willing to share with us. Please keep the recommendations coming!
 13. xenxra @ xenxra: also, to that effect, i'm a bit behind on the whole C/R situation, that being said - this is the first time in 16 months that the market pulled back and C did not DM me on telegram about it.
 14. xenxra @ xenxra: i want to apologize to the people on here for my calls about the market moving up three days before the crash. the crash we had was essentially a black swan (i.e. an accident) and as is the very nature of "accidents", they usually cannot be accounted for beforehand. a LOT of people got wiped out on that move but I do think we still push for new highs across the board sooner than later as long as Bitcoin stays above $105k.
 15. O @ oh be g: And I agree w u shit happens
 16. O @ oh be g: @finger just to be clear I am not accusing any one of anything just replying to another post explaining how just like any other biz drop shipping exists
 17. Finger-of-God @ Finger-of-God: Thats why we just make sure to always have inventory and never go past the inventory. makes us have skin in the game.... that said sometimes shit happens we get hella orders and have to process 600 orders after a busy weekend and it might take us a week to catch up. so maybe thats all he is dealing with?
 18. Finger-of-God @ Finger-of-God: ooph. i hate to hear the scam word tossed around. sometimes people end up having shit happen...like making a bad move in business, doesnt mean they scammed but that they just fucked up some how.
 19. O @ oh be g: That being said, be careful. There was a period of time of new vendors who exit scam after sending “samples”. So I woould trust your gut and intuition ”
 20. O @ oh be g: @meep that’s always been the case, u will see vendors w the exact same menu. Part of the game.
