I have quite a low benzo tolerance; generally only need whatever is equivalent to 10mg diaz to work.

I have nitrazepam, and although it works, makes me sleepy, it doesn't knock me out. The thing is, zopiclone, that absolutely knocks me out. Nitrazepam just makes me feel slightly drowsy. Also, it takes so long to kick in for me. I take it at about 9pm, and by 11:30-12, I start to feel the benefits. Such a long come up time, and the peak plasma doesn't seem to take that long from what I've read.

Is this just me, or have other people had similar reactions?

Maybe it's because of the half life being quite long, the days between doses are doing less to keep tolerance at bay?

Love to hear other people's experiences.

I found it exactly the same as you smoka, no way it knocks me out like a couple of alpz or alp bar does. Zop used to spark me out too, though not had it in years.

I took 5mg of nitr@z alomg with 5mg is v@l and it kicked my butt! Downside...awful hangover the next day.

Glad to hear it's not just me PTFC... shame, because I really wanted it to work, I should have stuck with the Z drugs. I try and se benzos/z drugs with a shortish half life because I don't want it to build up in my system in my twice a week regime. Lately it's been vals and nitraz twice a week...obviously I won't end up in massive physical dependency, but I was better off using bromaz and zoppy.

With nitraz, I find I could almost get away with taking it in the day time, just mad. But don't get me wrong, it helps me sleep. When I go to bed, I can close my eyes and think 'aaah'. Whereas normally I close my eyes and have to jolt them right open again because I see horrible things.

Never had much of a hangover with them...heh...well, I don't drink anymore, I've gone teetotal because it was a problem. But I'd be drinking straight vodka in the early hours then up for work at 6, felt a bit hazy but not so bad. What gives me the worse after effects, weirdly enough, is promethazine... /default_ohmy.png

I ramble way too much...

Tried Arem and one was not enough... went to 1 1/2 and got sleepy, took a long time, but not what I was looking for.  I have suffered from insomnia all my life and the OTC/herbal crap does not work and the benz take me way too long to get going in the day....

ive used Nipam 5mg tabs about 750-800x and i'd say they're not very good .. i need at least 6-8 tabs to feel nice /default_wink.png

On the 3 or 4 occasions I used a 10mg tab, I did sleep but felt groggy and nauseous in the morning. Not for me, bleugh

What was the 10mg tab you took PTFC just curious bro?.

You on your jollies yet mukka?

So you guys all agree that Nitrazepam doesn't work well? That is helpful for me because I was going to order some from Jim to try them out but if they are as bad as people are saying here i think i will stick to my usual which is the roche Rivotril Clonz.

I've only tried the Indian ones, I can't speak for jims, but they seem to get favourable reviews from what I remember.

I think it does depend on how severe your insomnia is. For me, I can stay awake on it, yeah, but it makes falling asleep so easy. I had some the other night after nights and nights of not sleeping properly, and it was blissful. Now, there's also the quite long half life...it doesn't particularly make me groggy, but it might be something worth noting. Also, peak plasma levels take a little while to appear.

As for more 'knockout' ones, maybe zopiclone? Yeah, from one Indian brand I got the infamous metallic taste, but they are effecient and have a short half life. Never tried zolpidem but that might be worth considering.

Hmm I'm not sure If I'm really looking for a knockout pill, and I've never heard of zopiclone. I don't see that on Jim's list so maybe someone else provides it. But I think I'm going to stick with klonzapins since that is what i've been taking for the longest. I've also used alp before, and I like that too but for some reason it seems so much more expensive than the klonz yet they do about the same for me. I was going to give the Nitraz a shot but seeing this thread I think i'm going to pass on it now.

I'm sure he does one of the z-drugs, they're not true benzos but hit your GABAa receptors. I don't know your exact situation/tolerance/dependence etc (sorry), but if you take large amounts of less sedating benzos (clon@z, brom@z etc) to be sedated, use and tolerance will go up. If I want to sleep, I could take 10mg of Nitr@z or 20mg of Di@z, if that makes sense...

But I hope things work for you, whatever you decide to do. =)

It's Nitrosun by Sun Pharma (Indian), afraid I have no experience with any other, but I know that Sun Pharma are quite reputable. Most of our meds are probably made in the slums of Mumbai anyway...

Ok when I try the  Nipam brand I will let you know  :-)

I suppose everyone is different but nitraz works for me and usually the nipam gets good reviews,in fact I've heard a few people say that Nipam are the only ones that people rate?.

But for me Nipon or ro@che from jim do me nicely.

Peace

Bliss. ...

  4. ClintEastwood @ ClintEastwood: Robert Duvall and a handful of others were a younger actors coach and always said no one worked as hard as those guys did. Robert Duvall and rest would read the full script 228 over and over, then after the last read they would go into how to perform their character. The young man had made it to meet Al who are greats and pull them to the side. And explain what his coach said. They all looked back and said out of every role you’ve seen me in. I have read it 228 by myself. 🫡 🫢 🫢 🫢

  10. Realbenzeyes @ Realbenzeyes: I always thought I should’ve been born in a much earlier time but I will say, i do enjoy my Xbox and occasional TV series tho 😂
  11. Realbenzeyes @ Realbenzeyes: I just wish the opioid epidemic never happened. Fk the turn of the century (which would be cool no doubt)! Many of my friends and family would’ve ended up in asylums like so many others. I just wish I could get back all those I’ve lost since the start
  12. L @ Layne_Cobain: 1914 I meant
  13. L @ Layne_Cobain: I often wish I lived during the turn of the century or at least before the Harrison narcotics act or whatever I think it was 1924 the fun ended but anyway yeh being able to get laudanum, ❄️ and amphetamine at the local friendly pharmacy
  14. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: Chew on the leaves with a bit of slaked lime and enjoy the mild boost you get from the raw base.
  15. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: I’m sure you know the folks in the mountainous regions along South Americas pacific side buy cócà leaves at the local farmers market just to help acclimate to the higher elevation when they have to head up into the hills.
  16. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: I would certainly have bought it, swilled it, enjoyed it…. Why not? A little boost in your juice isn’t going to hurt anyone.
  17. R @ Royboy99: Exports were reported to have around 7.2mg per FL OZ, it’s success is what actually led to Coca Cola
  18. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: Having cramps and husband thinks you’re acting hysterical (ie. PMS) the doc would either perform a certain massage to relieve the strains of motherhood and family life of that time or send you down to the local apothecary for a bottle of laudanum… A tincture of alcohol and 10% òpìųm. Fun days huh?
  19. R @ Royboy99: @malestrom: yeah thats it, my bad Mariani, yeah i considered that and also its ROA, which was oral so the bioavailability was lower than insufflation, higher degree of purity tho and longer duration … there was a significant marked increase of patents filed by Edison during the time it was released in the US. Presidents were known to use it as well, and the Queen. The pope awarded the wine the Vatican gold medal award
  20. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: I think it was called vin Mariani. But yeah, it was all the rave back in the turn to the 20th century. Original formula Coca Cola did it for a while too. I think it was pretty weak though. Something like 200 mg per liter of wine. Enough to maybe give you a little push but unless you could pound some serious alcohol, it’d be hard to really feel the effects before the ethyl knocked you down on the ground. It was an interesting time period. Laudanum was a “hysterical” woman’s best friend.
