I used to buy k3t@m1n3 via WU and a question. Always gave a name, they just didn't have to show ID. I did quite a few transactions like that, and always got good product but it was his only product and that was several years ago.

Good point HT, and I stand corrected. You do in fact have to provide a name, but no ID is required, which, I suppose, makes the "name" essentially immaterial. That being said, one should still be prepared to provide a name when requesting this type of transaction.

Read a bunch about the Money pac, etc.  Seems like a list of vendors (legit companies) they allow to direct send to.  I guess my question stands, how is it any easier to use MP (green dot) if you still don't know who you are sending the $$ to.  Any guidance would be greatly appreciated because with WU/MG I am used to a receiver, etc. and have zip experience with MP.  I like to use CC for obvious reasons.  Thanks in advance to anyone kind enough to provide the education regarding how to pay this specific vendor on a small test order.  Tenga buen dia!  S-

The short answer mah maing is, you don't. Either way, if you navigate the magical WU portal of no name, no anything, or use MP, you are, no doubt taking the 100% risk.
Thank you , hooter.  How the hell does he get paid then?  Reference number and just pick up by anyone?

yep, just like that.... little spooky rekon?

Actually if you browse around certain threads it actually references this in a way of scamming.
Yeah, that's a tough one. On one hand, if one had a desire to scam, that would certainly seem to be the method of choice, as it provides for immediate cash in hand without the liquidity issues inherent in Money Paks. On the other hand, if I were a vendor, maximizing anonymity would certainly be a top priority, which this would seem to offer.
Anyway, just conversation, and I see your point mah brutha. Sending money out into the great digital beyond without a shred of vendor / receiver identity information doesn't leave the customer with much recourse nor leverage, should something go wrong.

Yea yea like you said, just banter. I mean hell, look at the business end of each party, there is always risk, not always equal and/or opposite, but risk nontheless.  Also just like DGSB says, there are legit vendors that accept this so don't take what I've said to mean that this (IS) a scam, it simply could be used as one. But one of MANY.

For clear answers, I guess you just have to search your soul mah man.  Or find that one son of a bitch who has found the magic bullet and MAKE him tell us his secrets.
I hear ya brotha. As Tupac once said, "It's a dirty game y'all". The inexperienced are well advised to seek trusted, experienced member counsel, and the experienced are well served to trust their instincts. Beyond that, there are never any sure bets, only calculated risks.

No risk, no reward.  Test order for under $100... might be worth giving it a whirl to see.  If I get scammed I would really want to use my G21 that I converted to .50 cal though on the f-r that scammed me this way.

But flip, there are folks reporting legit and rec'd.... while there was an anonymous whisper of an order or two being blown off, it's just a whisper.  Still gives me the "first through the door, hope I don't kick the wire" feeling a little bit though.

Thanks Hooter and Mr. Hockey for the words for thought.  Appreciate it!

Be careful with this vendor I have had reports PM'd to me that this guy blew off an order or 2.

Tread very carefully with these Email vendors. You have no recourse to get anything back when they decide to just leave town.

I think it is equal to hitting a craigslist post.
What do ya'll mean by "blown off"? Like he just ignored someones order and never responded to them? Or he took someones money? The ignoring someone part I believe completely, if you email him too many times, or ask repetitive questions he ignores you. He's even done that to me in the start lol. If he took someones money, I'd be genuinely shocked, and would want to know.

Thanks, GDX.  But if I were to email him 1 time to ask how the MP process works with him and his orders, that would not be annoying correct?  Appreciate it.  S-

MP process very simple.. look for the MPK with the eBay and PayPal logo on it (7-11, Rite-Aid, etc.). Bring to register and load the amount of cash you need for your order + the ~$4.95 for the card. Scratch off back of the card after purchase is complete, you reveal a 14 digit activation #.

That's the number you give to your vendor for payment. Boom, done.

Excellent synopsis my friend. All I will add is that this evening's special are our famous Perc Passions at Jewenberg's Beach Bar and Pharmacy, and we gladly accept MP!

Fresh to def!  Yep MP and PP accepted all day everyday down here at Jewenberg's.

Edit:  Where's Soldier's awesome pic of Jewenberg's great service in action?  Can't seem to find it.

Thank you very much.
You're welcome bud.

@ H-man - I saw it in the most liked content recently. Somewhere around the post RH made to me reminding me to try and refrain from "bz posting". Apparently a lot of ladies were glad he was nice enough to remind me. I never corrected him on it being zolps and som@ instead of bz's. Too many of them and I'm just out, can't post stupid stuff then.

But if it's the pic I'm thinking of, with you and Jewy at the Tiki bar, then look in most liked content. There's not a lot to have to search through in that section.

HT, I'm slightly embarrassed to say that I have no idea how to search in the "most liked content section".  But I did do a little digging and found it /default_biggrin.png

Hey, I'm lucky to have found it myself. For future references on the forum main page scroll to the bottom and it's where the link to the Mod Team and other stuff is. Highest Reputation Content is actual name of the link, I came up with Most liked off the top of my head. IDK if Tiki hut is the right description either, but that is the picture I was thinking of. Glad you found it.

Thanks for the info.  I never would have found that.  Never even scrolled that far down before, lol.
