Re: No Sleep And Opiate W/d

Have any of you guys ever tried a medically supervised detox? 3-5 days in hospital. I wonder if that would be the most comfortable way of doing it.

It's so funny listening to all you lovely vixen's talking about your many bowel problems : )

The great thing about opiates?... It makes all men (and women) equal!

I think on one of my more severe bouts, I was literally 'backed up' for over 2 weeks!!

It was like giving birth!? Like, seriously!... To something akin to a small family car?!

An experience that will live with me for quite some time....

I think a lot of us want to avoid the stigma of admitting to people that we're addicts. I know personally I'd rather suffer more than explain to my family why I need to be in hospital for days.

Lmao
I keep reading these posts and laughing. This is definitely the only forum I've been on where people discuss their bowel movements.

I read that iMmodium works on the opioid receptors in the brain. You can take 20 of them and its supposed to stop w/d symptoms dead in its tracks. And that twenty pills isn't gonna plug u up any worse then the regular dosage. I'm also willing to try this as you can buy like 500 0f them at Costco for like 15 bucks. If I can find the article again I'll post it.

I didn't take any of those despite all the good things said about them. They tear my stomach up bad personally. I'm glad they are helping so many people though.

I have the best advice for women with that problem but I don't want to squick out our darling male members.

Just make sure you get all the details ahead of time. You want meds to help you be comfortable. I was stuck in a hospital for 10 days. All they did for me was make someone sit with me 24/7 to make sure I didn't get anyone to bring drugs to me. I had a very heavy habit at the time & it felt like medical malpractice almost. I mean, what a waste of money. I could have done that at home.

That must have been a real nightmare. Actually worse than doing it at home. I had no idea any place did that, I was under the impression that the whole point was so that you had some kind of medication to make you more comfortable. I hope it never comes to that but if it does at least now I'll know to make sure what I'm getting into.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Poor thing. I would think most "programs" willing to provide comfort meds might also require an extended stay to Rehab. I might be totally off base here but 3-5 days in a hospital without methadone etc sounds like hell to me. Plus, one still has the biggest challenges facing them after release.... The psychological aspect. Short of the Ibogaine (I think that's it) flood I doubt there are many places that will detox with comfort meds in 3-5 days. I've read scary stuff about the 24 hr detox thing but maybe I'm wrong.

I was actually there for a minor surgery. Then my dr & family figured out I was abusing meds pretty bad bc I was in wd even with the IV pain meds. So they cut me off completely. Imagine a fresh incision in wd. All the crazy nerve/sensitive/skin. It was torture. I'm sure that's not the normal protocol for detox. I just want those considering it to check & double check the standards they use. It can be a great option especially for those with health issues.

Made it to day seven with no pea kays or b3nz0s. **dances!** I really think I'm coming out of the woods. All my symptoms are duller and easily treated with kratom. Except my initial difficulty with getting it down it's been a life saver the last couple days.
Pixie!!!! Hooray!!! I just asked after you on another thread, can't believe I missed this. Well done you clever girl! Roll on day 8 /default_smile.png benz0 free too... That's aces ... Have you had child care? I'd be all over the place with no sleep! Alpr@z are the only way I managed to get a break at night so I could wake up and be all "hey kids!" Congratulations xxxx

The inhumane bastards... I'm so angry for you.. I can't believe they treat people like that! You'd get better treatment in prison

Yay! Stay strong and use kratom as frequently as you need it (can get it down!). You will be amazed at how good you feel this time next week! I'm so happy for you!!

I've done a detox called detox5 in the eu it's not pleasant and when I did it over 10yrs ago it cost £2500.Dont get me wrong they do give you meds which make you sleepy but some think your out cold for the whole detox (wrong!).I was mostly awake and uncomfortable and when you tried to leave your bed to use the toilet ect my legs just gave way.Tbh the worst was when I got home I don't think I slept for abt 3 weeks gradually getting more after wk 3!.Everyone is different as i think there were abt 6 of us there and a few were getting up for meals whereas I didn't eat a meal in there as everything tasted disgusting due to the meds they fed you daily. It is obviously easier than a home detox as you can't just leave really as you wouldn't be able to drive ect.I think if it's longer acting opiates your problem is with ie methadone it's harder to say H or morphine..

I did this last month.   I have good health insurance, so it was very little out of pocket on my end.   I was detoxing from Oxy and Hydrocodone.   I checked in Saturday afternoon and checked out on Thursday afternoon.   I simply took the week off from work. They used Suboxone and Ativan (and tapered me down).   Also, none of my normal ADHD stimulant medicine and NO caffeine.   The first couple days were rough, but by the time I checked out, I just felt groggy.   My primary doc put me on XR xanax, raised my Lexapro intake, and I've been supplementing with Kratom.   I've also started to get more physically active (long evening walks).   So far, so good.   I did fill and take my hydrocodone script (had a refill), but have not had anything in about 3 weeks.   Kratom has been a lifesaver.

Good for you mr C ,great news I think if I done it again I'd need to quit my job as it ain't no fun with meth@done wds.Last time I done it I had to go back to work after a few days back from the detox! (not the easiest) as my job is very physical so great to hear your doing so well and keep the posative vibes up Mr Crowley this kratom certainly seems to be worth further research.I just hope when I do need it I find a good and strong quality supplier as I hear the product really can vary from supplier to supplier I'm in the uk btw...

  1. B @ bigblueallda: {Visit your local Driver Service Bureau with the necessary documents: original birth certificate, Social Security card, and two proofs of your state's residency. } I definitely provided this when I had to get a new ID when i let mine go expired too long maybe I unknowingly got one but I think it is pretty standard here.
  2. B @ bigblueallda: Well it was a state id renewal. Before that there was a mixup and I had lost my birth certficate and social security number. After a couple of weeks and finally getting several documents in order I was able to get a state ID. It had been expired previously for a little too long and they wanted all kinds of proof. It was a mess. But nah I looked up what to look for an my state's ID to see if it is a Real Id or not and my card as the symbol it is supposed to have. I'll take a closer look though
  3. drjimmy1964 @ drjimmy1964: @bigblueallda are you sure you have a Real ID ? I mean , they really want 6 points of proof and 1 for your addy and 1 for your SSN. Did you maybe get it done and forgot and flew out of the country or something ?
  4. drjimmy1964 @ drjimmy1964: Actually it says "Not For Real ID Purposes". That is my 2022 renewal of my 2018 picture ID. I am not due till 2026 and I am sure they will make me go in since my pic would be 8 years old - they used to make you go in in my state for aging when I was younger, then went paper - then back to picture ( I think 9/11 to blame for that ) but relaxed it.
  5. drjimmy1964 @ drjimmy1964: Wow, for real ? You renewed your DL and without you knowing or having to present documents in person, they did it online? It has the star on top right and says "Rea: ID" Mine says ' NOT A Real ID" . I never knew what a Real ID was and never bothered to ask - I think I somehow was under the impression that it was for either military / gov't workers who had to travel over seas. WRONG lol.
  6. B @ bigblueallda: I already have one and didn't even realize it. I renewed my ID online about 6 months ago and I just looked at it today and it is a Real ID.
  7. drjimmy1964 @ drjimmy1964: @Turbo259 mine was duped , too. Not sure why or how my msg. duped. IMO that guy if serious and smart wouldn’t advertise with you
  8. drjimmy1964 @ drjimmy1964: I wish I had it when I flew to Vegas in 2022. The TSA line for Real ID passengers was short. Now it’s probably going to be crazy .
  9. drjimmy1964 @ drjimmy1964: Has everyone got their Real ID ? I think tomorrow’s the deadline yet just now an agent from AAA (I believe ) was on local news saying you can still get it past May 7.. Required for domestic flights.
  10. T @ Turbo259: sorry for the dupe message
  11. T @ Turbo259: Hey fam,, question for the masses, a vendor not from this forum lost a payment method and is blaming me for it, i have confirmed i havent done anything and even said i was willing to send the $ that was sent back to me to make good, they are being threatening a lil like its my fault to fix, any advice, dm me if easier, but curious as i did nothin wrong and kinda dont know what to do now, not lookin for issues from this person
