My first experience with Ant was not stellar; it was actually a complete failure. Am I right to assume that that was just a fluke? How would users rate their  transactions out of ten, including all unforeseen, non-vendor faults type things added into the ranking. I ask b/c if I'd give Ant another try. I'm seeing some feedback that negates my negative experiences. In the NY perhaps?

Thanks!

An states he will resolve this problem; it will take him a bit of time to rectify it. He seems quite concerned; not just from the business end but the customers being happy.

Interesting times coming for next week; sigh

I have heard news, nothing new, but I am sure this will be made right and I see a lot of care from the vendor and concern about what's happened AND being in the dark, just like us.

Onward through the fog, I say! Any one ever shop at Oat Willies in Austin TX??

Best!

I'll admit I don't know this guy well. Nor had I used him before. I was worried, since he hasn't been around as long as some others, that he might cut his losses and run. That doesn't seem to be the case and his willingness to communicate even when there's not much good news, has put me at ease.

This too shall pass.

Has anyone received positive news?

I  am hoping that monday will be a good day to transport things as it should be loaded with packges from the entire globe making separations much more time consuming.

Who knows...  either things must change or the vendors will be finding other lines of work...far less profitable.

Hang tough everybody!!

While I think your logic is sound, at least in principle, I'm told by a middle management friend at brown that they're so overwhelmed at the moment that they're already bumping packages by the thousands from Monday into Tuesday, and those are packages already in route. I'm sad to say that the odds are appearing slim to nada for pre-Christmas arrivals, although I remain hopeful that this mess will ultimately resolve itself. Eventually.

I have family that works for the other Currier and they are

Going through the same thing. Every year he says more and more people purchase online which clogs this up even more than normal. They are overloaded with packages. He also said though things change quickly day after Christmas.

Got the biggest load of crap email today. There is no way I'm placing another order in order to get the one I've already paid for.

What a joke.

My goodness; are we all going to have to eat a great deal of money.

That part makes me unhappy.

You try to receive something from at least one vendor; figuring the others will catch up relatively soon.

As of now i seemingly am out 1,750.00 total with 4 vendors.

NOW THAT is pretty fucking disheartning.

So, am I reading this correctly? You're being told that you have to place ANOTHER order to receive the one you already have outstanding? PM me if you'd prefer, or feel free to post.

This does make 'a little' sense if what the vendors have been sending out has been intercepted in some way.  But still hard to deal with mentally and perhaps financially.  Bottom line is though they need our trust again and sticking it to you a second time is not they way to go about it.

Yes that is EXACTLY what I'm saying. Not cool.

Gotcha, thank you. Please indulge the attorney side of my personality for a second, but just so I'm perfectly clear, did he state that you would NOT receive your outstanding order unless you placed a new one? I know, it probably seems like the same question, but I just wanted to be sure I understood correctly, and that he specifically stated that a NEW order is a requirement to receive your outstanding one. If so, I agree, that's not good. And what,. if anything, was the stated reasoning behind this?

Jewey- Can you PM me about this situation. It will not let me PM you because we are not friends and I can't figure out how to friend you! Thanks!

That is precisely what was stated; i quote "if you place a new order i will ship it as well as the lost order"

I  understand they are not  banks either... yet that is a bit much to chew on!!

I received the same message, to place a new order and A would then send the previous order and the new one at the same time. Seems unfair and I am not in a position to do so.

Completely too much to chew on when I only placed the order as I was assured of no delays or issues at his end. I understand there has been a loss, but I paid a premium to anticipate delivery.

I am waiting for a reply. It looks bad all round.

@Jewey :: I can provide the message if you wouldn't mind PM'ing me, unless you already received it from one of the other parties?

Rest assured that this will be taken under advisement. While it won't help any of you with outstanding orders, this vendor's future on DBG needs to be evaluated, given the circumstances.

A start up with not much original capital, likely no retained earnings, doesn't have resources to top fund anything that didn't make it.  Likely looking for additional $ to make good on SOME old orders, but IMHO, anyone here lucky to get the old order, let alone old and new.  But, some might both, some might get one, others will get zip.  Sounds like a familiar run on the SS method many use when they start to slide but haven't gotten off the grid yet.  Getaway $$ perhaps?  Just a thought.  S-

  14. B @ bigblueallda: @drjimmy1964 lol I am actually surprised it is a real ID. I needed those documents because my license had been expired for over a year and I had to start all over. Nothing was in the system. It was a huge mess. I had no clue I was signing up for Real ID. They asked me for the exact same documents that I needed for a State ID Card.

  19. drjimmy1964 @ drjimmy1964: @bigblueallda I was under the impression that you'd need all of the points to get a real ID . I'd check it's validity if you're gonna fly domestic any time soon, just to make sure. Not to tell you what to do, sorry -
  20. B @ bigblueallda: @drjimmy1964 In my state to get a Real ID, I need SS card, Birth Certificate and two proofs of residency. Which I am positive I had to provide to get a new ID when it had been expired.
