Bitcoin Suppliers

@PTFC  Have you bought any since the price got so high?  I first bought when it was about $700 USD.  Sure the amount I have goes up but I'm gonna have to start buying again.  Annoys me to spend so much.

A friend bought some litecoin.  ANyone into other virtual money?

No, but I did enjoy watching my money just about double! I rarely order these days. I've noticed some fairly large differences between valuations depending on whose network you are synchronised with,  bitstamp, phoenix etc. Still no reply to my unconfirmed amount from multibit of course.......

Bitcoin is rather low atm, FYI. Buy if you can.

GoCelrey is no longer a place to purchase coin. Apparently they have had some issues and are no longer operating.

Yeah, I've noticed the dip past few weeks. It was nice watching the rise though, and I'm still "up" as it stands.

I sure hope some of you made some money on the BTC! It has rose significantly in the past few days. Its about to sell BTC or purchase the products you need imo. I hope that when I write updates such as this, that the message finds someone that finds it useful. Have a great rest of the week everyone. :D

You better believe it's useful @Natty! That was a nice little boost!!!

Just saw this on coinbase.  Doesn't say for how long.

BTC Buys/Sells/Withdrawals will be Temporarily Disabled on July 31
Due to a potential fork of the bitcoin blockchain, all BTC buys/sells and withdrawals will be temporarily disabled beginning on July 31.

@PTFC   I just moved btc from coinbase to electrum.    Coinbase said complete.  electrum says unconfirmed.  Is that cuz i'm waiting for confirmations and how do I find them? I forget.

Nevermind, Lol.   CB says no tconfirmed and I just went by their fee.   I'll watch.    Some days dealing with this is like reading martian

@Natty   on electrum what does it mean when it says new or saved after how long you want to wait for your btc.  I clicked save.   No idea why.

Hmm, I'm not sure actually. Even though I have done this at least 8 times, I still cannot remember which one I selected. I cant even think what the meaning of this prompt "save-new" could mean.

MAYBE......or Possibly it is creating a sort of copy. For ex; if you were to save a typed document on your computer, then run a spell check and save again or rename it a new file and keep both copies. I hope that this helps. Again, I may be entirely wrong.

I have never had to wait very long for coin to hit my wallet. It is by no means instant, but it has always showed up within a 2hr mark at most. Electrum will state that it is confirmed on the wallet when you open it. That is the only way I ever did it. I just waited and it would show eventually. Of course I was refreshing and waiting, wondering what was taking so long. But again, never a problem on a transfer of funds to my electrum wallet.

I have a strange message at the bottom of my wallet that has been there for the last month or so.

No fx rate available.

Ill see if I can add the pic to this post. Hopefully someone reads it and can tell me whats going on, how to fix it, or if it is ok to just disregard it. I thought it was because of the drastic fluctuation in BTCS, but I'm beginning to believe that is not the case.

I figured it out.  Saved means it repeats the amount and wallet from before.   New gives you a new wallet.

Dont know about  bottom.  Maybe close it out and reopen and see if that helps.  Use the seeds to open?

I figured it out, I was running version 2.6.4, and a newer 2.8.3 version was available to download. I now see the fiat ticker, and am back to normal now.  :13_upside_down:

I've got 2.8.2    No word on an update. Did you do anything before you installed the newer version or just do it.

Actually I didn't have to do anything at all. I just went to the website and downloaded it again. It just wrote over the old version that I did not bother to uninstall.

After all the problmes I've had I may just wait.  Read about some who had problems with your version.

@screamingmimi, I was gonna suggest a possible update as @Natty,Natty did, I'm not at all proficient with electrum yet, I've installed it and nothing more. Still awaiting a response on my unconfirmed amount with multibit. Don't think I'll be hearing anything however. Might be a good idea to hold fire before updating though.

I wouldn't be surprised. I hate when things update to a newer format. I get used to something, then they switch it on ya, and it comes with bugs and glitches to boot.

I just read this.  Don't know if their is any truth to it. I found it while researching CEX.IO for BTCS.

"Coinbase is currently taking WEEKS to respond to urgent queries, I’m being told, and they provide no working mechanism whatsoever for users in Wyoming or Hawaii to change their state of residency. When those users attempt to login to upload new IDs or change their address, they are given “Unable to create account” errors which state that “Coinbase has indefinitely suspended its business…” in their old state. In effect, Coinbase has stolen all the Bitcoins from users in those states and may have already absconded with those Bitcoins."

Again, these are not my words, as I don't use the coinbase client for my BTC needs.

  1. CnC5 @ CnC5: @LatsDoodis so who do you use now??? I heard adhd online is a good and easy place to get adderall! Please let me know who you go through! Thanks!
  2. LatsDoodis @ LatsDoodis: Pharmacies, too. I switched my psychiatrist and just went through a pill mill telehealth place for a half year, then it got popular and all major pharmacies stopped filling Rx stims for this company’s independent contractor-providers, regardless of any reason than they treated ADHD patients with stims and it was a lot of people. Independent medical judgment from clinicians licensed and following rules. I needed the treatment. Who cares how many patients use the company? They followed the rules.
  3. LatsDoodis @ LatsDoodis: That’s wild. It should be medical judgment, not corporate fear of lawsuits. Go set that doc straight. You need to have pain controlled aggressively or not at all. Be consistent.
  4. N @ NYStateofMind: Monday Funday
  5. CnC5 @ CnC5: I hope all of DBG fam had a great weekend & a HAPPY EASTER 🐣 & HAPPY 420 🪴 Hope you guys have a great week as well!

  7. Telp @ Telp: It’s about to be happy Monday y’all. Have a great week and read some
  8. xenxra @ xenxra: @WTF7218 it may as well be that way with how little effort some of the people on here make to find information that's exactly where you would expect it to be.
  9. ontovzik @ ontovzik: When I had long term shingles, lasting two months. All he could give me was a 10 day supply of dilaudid. He looked at the ground while we were talking about it. I could tell he was ashamed but it was the legislature and the governor that tied his hands. He was very upset that non-medical political people, the media, and the scared public were controlling how he treated his patients. Someday those people will need meds and a hospital bed and they will be gone.
  10. ontovzik @ ontovzik: I had a great doctor, he had the true gift of a healer and he stayed on top of all the science. He straight up told me that for many people opiods work for managing short and long term pain.
  11. ontovzik @ ontovzik: He peed it in the snow in my backyard.
  12. WTF7218 @ WTF7218: @xenxra 😆😂. Yes, but only a few brave souls will ever find the number. You must first order a Dirty Shirley from the bartender. Then you must discreetly take the cocktail napkin from under your drink and unfold it. There you will find the map to the location of the phone number, and clues to decipher the code that it is written in.
  13. xenxra @ xenxra: he left his phone number scribbled in a stall at the pub three blocks down
  14. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar I would try one of those easy online ones .. reddit gives useful info about that
  15. Alkazar @ Alkazar: @NYStateofMind I dont really have a history of abusing things, my docotr is just really stingy. I am thinking of switching.
  16. C @ Cheesus: Thanks xenxra
  17. xenxra @ xenxra: @Cheesus yeah, use snote
  18. P @ psychedpsych: Trump is cracking down….
  19. P @ psychedpsych: Hackers are the scum of the earth
  20. N @ NYStateofMind: so it was easy bc of my history
