BTW placed another order with A yesterday and its on track to be here by 10:30. Thats like 50/50 for me with A and probably only a couple of delays along the way. A great vendor IMHO.

 
Made my first order with A yesterday morning for a new pair of shoes. Paid extra for Saturday delivery but haven't heard or seen anything since sending the MG. I know how busy she is but I hope I hear something soon. I don't want to send her too many emails.

Reading this thread really helps keep my spirits up. I know she'll come through.

I hope both A and Brown Sat. Delivery come through for you.

However, if you do not receive, don't be surprised if you don't hear from A until Monday. Vendors don't typically respond to emails over the weekend, no matter what the issue is. In fact, most don't even check their emails until very late Sunday night, or Monday morning during "business hours."

Hopefully things worked out for you, but next time, try and get a confirmation from the vendor that they received your order info within an hour or so of sending it - even if you have to send multiple emails. That is certainly much better than never hearing anything and having no idea what really happened.

I believe I mentioned this in a separate post / thread, but it bears repeating. Even with H and other reliable SY vendors, I'm 0-2 on Satirday deliveries with them. I have no explanation, other than the shipments always arrive on Monday, even if I paid for Saturday service. I've always been credited on my next order for the extra cost, but still, the fact remains.

This could be simple isolated bad luck on my part, but I try and avoid needing Saturday delivery if at all possible. Just FYI.

I never received my order on Saturday. I waited until Monday morning (that would be today) to email A again. She wrote me saying that she didn't receive my MG reference number, which is a little frustrating because I know I sent it more than once, but I immediately sent her that info again. And since then I haven't heard back. I sent her another email about an hour later asking if she would let me know that she got the information she needed, and then I sent another email two hours after that with all the info I could possibly think to add. But still no response.

I really don't want to be a nuisance but it would be great at this point to know, well, anything really. I really hope she writes me back before the end of the day.

So, I presume then that the payment has not been picked up by the receiver?

That's interesting.Typically, when I remit payments, they get picked up by the receiver literally within minutes. 30 minutes to an hour at the very most. As this is a typically first rate vendor, something seems odd there. My first instinct is that it might be some problem with the receiver, but difficult to say. Hopefully a member that conducts business with A frequently will notice these posts and weigh in with guidance this evening. Sorry if you'd already answered this, but so I don't have to navigate off of the page, have you communicated the fact that the money has not been picked up to A, and if so, what was the response if any?

Regardless, and as mentioned, this is one of the most reliable SY vendors, so I'm confident that it will be worked out quickly. Anything else would be quite out of character for A. Keep up informed!

I took your advice and sent her another email letting her know the MG was ready and waiting.

I still haven't heard from her since her first and only email this morning.

Like you said, this is kinda strange considering her track record. I'm not really sure what to think at this point.

I'll keep updating as I learn/don't learn more.

Not a problem, glad to be of support. As you've probably read in my posts, that's been my experience both times I've attempted and paid for a Saturday delivery with another highly rated vendor in this section, which is really odd when you think about it. Tremendous, nearly flawless communication and service, but Saturday deliveries don't seem to happen for whatever reason. The other vendor I mentioned did in fact give me credit for the extra Saturday delivery charges on subsequent orders, so you might consider politely broaching that topic with A when placing your next order. If it were me, I'd probably follow up soon to thank her for the order's arrival, and to remind her of the extra charges, if for no other reason than it will still be fresh in her mind, and so it's been documented in case she forgets by the time your next order rolls around. Just one wookie's opinion!
