The wisdom in DGSB's post should be obvious, but just for the record, I fully support this recommendation and guidance, and give it the official Jewbacca Seal of Approval, including the "do not panic" part. Change your email, close and delete your old account, and use this opportunity to consider selecting a more secure provider.
While this is certainly an unsettling event, all I can add is that I hope to God their Lavabit account is configured as an IMAP and not a POP3. I'm also a bit curious as to why an enterprise in their jurisdiction would choose Lavabit, a US domiciled company subject to US legal jurisdiction, when there are ample service providers in more privacy friendly jurisdictions. I probably shouldn't be encouraging conjecture, but it's certainly a curiosity from my point of view as someone who makes IT decisions on the part of an enterprise with interests in various countries around the world.Buddychrist** said:

To delete a DM select the ones you want to delete.. then at the bottom of screen, where it says choose action, pick "Leave Direct Messages". and hit Go

I don't really think that people understand the whole point of cryptos in the first place anymore. BTC just won't be adopted by governments because the transactions are too public and what's worse, money that is freshly minted is better than money that has been used. Like if my btc was used for something that was illegal does that mean the money is "poisoned"?

@xenxra Yeah, Like I said I've never really been that fond of btc, it isn't used as a currency, just as a place for people to invest money in, even though the whole purpose of btc was to be a currency. If it doesn't fulfill that role, what does? Monero certainly does.
