Great balls of fire! What a horrible experience. One moment you're feeling safe, relaxed - your guard is down and you're enjoying the moment - and then creepy! I mean, why couldn't he have just said, "I find you very attractive and enjoy spending time with you." Surely that would've provided a better outcome than "I want to rip your clothes off and fuck you." What a let down!!

One thing to consider is whether you're emitting some vibe toward men that provokes them? I'm a girl - so trust me - I'm not blaming you or accusing you of being a prick tease - at all!!!! But, if you come off confident, straightforward, outgoing - maybe men think you can handle (or even prefer) their directness? You don't sound desperate to me, so I doubt that's the vibe. Maybe next time you meet a nice guy and get to the second or third date - tackle the situation beforehand by telling him you're interested, but need to develop a mental/intellectual connection before becoming physically intimate. This will either weed out the losers or set expectations for the good guys. Just random advice....I'm not exactly a seasoned dater!

I don't know anything about the legality of mace or pepper spray - but if you're out there actively dating you may want to carry something in your handbag that will add another layer of protection - should you need it. When I was in my early 20's I knew several people who were slipped "roofies" (I think that's what they're called -- the date rape drug)....including my boyfriend at the time (though I think it was meant for me and we inadvertently switched drinks) multiple acquaintances and I was slipped something while I was on a date (though I don't think my date was the one who actually spiked my drink). It's been over a decade since I dated but I imagine not much has changed regarding the availability or use of date rape drugs.

Dating sites! Oi Vey! I created a Match account in November and KNOW I signed up for the 3-month option. After many ridiculous Talk Match messages and one bad experience I decided to cancel my subscription. Match had me signed up for 6-months at $120.00 and will NOT reimburse the unused portion. I guess I should've read the fine print! In addition, my DB ex-husband is on Match (awkward) AND even though I cancelled my account I'm still being barraged with emails from Match with "Daily Matches" and apparently my profile is still visible because I'm receiving winks and member messages, too. It's all such a scam - drives me nuts!!!!

My therapist told me about a local club that hosts events - and you can pick and choose which activities you want to participate in based on your interests. I don't recall the name but she was very anti-Match.com and recommended this group as a better alternative to meeting people. She had a lot of good things to say about it - I'll ask her what the group is called and PM you the information.

You are definitely in my head...lol. So I did something I have never done in my dating life. I called up the guy I referenced at the start of this thread. I told him to tell me why he brought up sex so soon and did I lead him on some sort of way without realizing it. Well his answer shocked me and to be honest, I don't know whether to flattered or offended. So here is what he said

I did nothing that made him think I wanted sex, however he told me I am incredibly beautiful and perky and what guy doesn't want to "bang" a hot chic and after meeting so many debbie downers who go on and on about how bad men have treated them, and have these entitlement complexes. He said it's refreshing to be with a positive woman who is just all around fun. This gets the juices flowing and made him think if I'm this perky then I must be great in bed.....um yeah...weird huh?...maybe I'll never understand men. He also mentioned something I had never heard before. He said he'd always heard women who wear glasses (which I do) are great in bed................I'm like wtf....really. Maybe I need to pop on my contacts a bit more...lol

Long story short we had a good talk and I let him know that he made me feel like a whore so he apologized and asked if we could start things over. So I agreed and we are dating again now and to my surprise he is quite the gentleman. I haven't been on here as much because we go out quite a lot. Actually we agreed to just go ahead an be monogamous but take things slow and go at a pace I'm comfortable with. He doesn't pressure me and that's good thing. So as of a few days ago, I'm off the market and have a boyfriend.

So, i want to tell my story with online dating...i typed it all out once and then the damn ipad froze on me and I lost it.....i am gonna try again....

I caught a subordinate of mine on "Adult Friend Finder" numerous times at work......after doing a history check on his computer, he was on there constantly. I mean, erase your damn history idiot! I became curious. And I was in a failing marriage. So i made me a profile. Ladies do not have to pay. They try to tell you to, but they wont cancel you if you dont....hehe. This is the only dating site I have ever been on. I started getting messages . Most were pics of male "members" if you catch my drift. I was like "ew" and "oh no" so I tried to delete myself and I couldnt. I mean, I am a huge fan of the male body but.......So, I changed my profile to read "can someone tell me how to get off of here...i hate this site".. But what was displaying was "can someone tell me how to get off" . Hehe so the messages increased, FLOODING my mailbox. So, after figuring out what a dumbass I am i changed it again, to read "please help me delete my profile..STOP SENDING PENIS PICS". Then in my comments section i put a huge angry rant about how this was nothing but a porn site and i am sick and tired of getting props. Bla bla bla......i swore a lot and was really pissed because their Admin would not respond to me on how to delete my profile. I went totally Irish on them, thinking they would delete my profile for the threats and language. The mailbox flooding continued. I was so pissed. One day, I am really bored at work, so I deide to look at the my emails. After constantly getting messages from people named "hard4u" and "wnafuku" and stuff like that, i see this message from the site from a member, "cheddargoldfish". I am like awwwwwwwwwww. So i read his messages. This was not his first one to me....i read them all. He had seen my "progression" on the site and just kept offering to help me and saying he was in the same boat......he just sounded so sweet. We exchanged emails and you guessed it, two years later....he is my Otter. You guys know how much I love this man. So yes, it is possible to find love on AFF. Lol! so, when people ask "oh how did you meet?" We have a cover story....except of course for our close friends. Lol. So that is my deal.
