We have had many clients scammed over the last few months by different tactics, but all involved Proton Mail.
The first scammer was able to infiltrate a vendor’s email and extorted extra funds for “sending extra by mistake.” It appears that anyone who wrote that vendor could have been infected.
Then another hacker is copying the email addresses and menus, with 2 vendors being targeted so far. This is also Protonmail, and the giveaway is that one vendor’s name is misspelled, and both of these emails contained a different email adress next to the lock. That the email address that was a steroid forum. These emails contained red text. Make sure the 2 addresses are the same.
Now we have a third scammer who infiltrated a email conversation, then changed one letter in the vendor’s name that wasn’t easily identified, with the bitcoin address. This scammer asked for extra funds to double the order.
Please read any vendor emails very carefully. Make sure the email address is exactly the same as the vendor’s contact in every stage of contact. With some vendors who publish email addresses, check the bitcoin address.
So far this has affected only Protonmail. We had a similar problem in 2020-2021.
There’s a long thread about those hackers/scammers:

Be safe and be careful! I will update this as more information becomes available.

To update, we have members receiving the emails with red text who have never corresponded with the vendors the emails claim to be from. That happened 4 years ago too.
So don’t assume you’re safe from the scam emails because you haven’t used the vendors.

Is there a section of this server that has vendors ratings and people's reviews on them?

@A$troJet50n @cheechthekat i highly recommend you donate to be a sponsor (it’s good for a year) so you get access to the full spectrum of vendors. Yes, vendor threads contain reviews. Go to the front page and you will see a thread for how to sponsor. It’s in the Welcome section, first thread. You can’t miss it. It’s all really useful for navigating things here.

You will also be able to communicate with other members fairly quickly. Otherwise you’re pretty limited.

Theres alot of chatter about vendor accounts using proton mail are comprimised, People are talkin about how vendors are talking different now, talking about using different shipping methods, Rude ness ect....

Be ware of any vendor who uses proton mail, I strongly suggest ya'll abandon that service and find a new one, proton is no longer safe.

I am new to all this.

How do I finda vendor
@A$troJet50n @cheechthekat If you decide to donate, please remember to READ ALL pages, from page one to page 40 if there are that many pages of a vendor's thread, you are considering. Trust me, it will save you a lot of trouble.
1.) Sponsor (donate). We've all had to chip in, you should just as a courtesy to keep the power on. Plus the other benefits. I have a feeling some will reach out to you beforehand, proceed with caution.
2.) DO NOT ignore the advice of @robert1975. This may be the most important heads up you'll hear. If there's reviews going 5 years back, read everything like it's a homework assignment and the exam is tomorrow. Failure to follow his advice will result in broken hearts and bank accounts.
3.) One success does not make you and the other party best buds 4 life and reviews should be legit; be honest writing them.
4.) Some advice, some tips, some promises can and will be bullshit. Follow your instincts.
I promise not these tips and advice for you though. Seriously. 🤔

  1. Finger-of-God @ Finger-of-God: Fridays are always fun! Preparing for the weekend rush
  2. Thoth @ Thoth: Happy Friday ! Let’s get it !
  3. L @ Layne_Cobain: Happy friday @jjjjjjjjj and everyone else time 4 chillin ‘n killin
  4. J @ jjjjjjjjj: Happy Friday everyone! And happy Gucci Mane day (10/17)!
  5. O @ ochemdim: @xenxra don’t sweat it, that’s part of investing, especially crypț0. Never invest (or bet) more than you can afford to lose, that’s rule #1. Also, if someone is right most of the time like you, that’s unusual and it’s awesome you’re willing to share with us. Please keep the recommendations coming!
  6. xenxra @ xenxra: also, to that effect, i'm a bit behind on the whole C/R situation, that being said - this is the first time in 16 months that the market pulled back and C did not DM me on telegram about it.
  7. xenxra @ xenxra: i want to apologize to the people on here for my calls about the market moving up three days before the crash. the crash we had was essentially a black swan (i.e. an accident) and as is the very nature of "accidents", they usually cannot be accounted for beforehand. a LOT of people got wiped out on that move but I do think we still push for new highs across the board sooner than later as long as Bitcoin stays above $105k.
  8. O @ oh be g: And I agree w u shit happens
  9. O @ oh be g: @finger just to be clear I am not accusing any one of anything just replying to another post explaining how just like any other biz drop shipping exists
  10. Finger-of-God @ Finger-of-God: Thats why we just make sure to always have inventory and never go past the inventory. makes us have skin in the game.... that said sometimes shit happens we get hella orders and have to process 600 orders after a busy weekend and it might take us a week to catch up. so maybe thats all he is dealing with?
  11. Finger-of-God @ Finger-of-God: ooph. i hate to hear the scam word tossed around. sometimes people end up having shit happen...like making a bad move in business, doesnt mean they scammed but that they just fucked up some how.
  12. O @ oh be g: That being said, be careful. There was a period of time of new vendors who exit scam after sending “samples”. So I woould trust your gut and intuition ”
  13. O @ oh be g: @meep that’s always been the case, u will see vendors w the exact same menu. Part of the game.
  14. Kruppe @ Kruppe: Man that sucks about rocky :( I haven't been here long but man he was on point.
  15. Dr-Octagon @ Dr-Octagon: A pleasure
  16. A @ AnnaSofia: @Dr-Octagon nice to see you again sir!
  17. Dr-Octagon @ Dr-Octagon: @AnnaSofia nice to see you.
  18. DougBreyers @ DougBreyers: Just came back after a bit of absense and noticed rocky seems to have suddenly disappeared. 🤔
