Kratom Discussion

The green veined products are stimulating. I stay away from those, however, i heard that they are great if you want stimulating. Me, i need sedation. The white veins are in the middle. The red veined are the sedating....but not like "i need to go to sleep right now" sedating. Each good website should have a nice description. The one place where i ordered from has only fusions, which are blends of different kinds. I remember reading that some are stimulating at lower doses and more sedating at higher doses. My normal dose is between 3 and 6 grams and i dont feel stimulated. On white maybe, but not the red.

Does anyone have info on dosing of kava kava? I have the powdered root.

I have an energy problem. I get wicked tired wicked easily. Its really hard to get through the day sometimes. I get enough sleep, and I sleep fantastically. It's almost like I can't store energy. I just like sedatives cause the fuzzy feeling is the bestest! I'll do more research on the different types and what does what and such!

Off topic for a second but you may wanna try modafinil from SL or MM. The stuff is fantastic for positive energy.

Kratom has not helped my energy level at all but I don't mess with the greens and whites too much. When I have, I get anxiety. I need to experiment a little more with mixing the reds with whites and greens.

I had some kava extract powder that I just mixed in my milk. I'm not sure if the regular powder would be the same but I don't see why not. I actually like the taste and love that it makes my mouth numb.

Okay, well after getting permission from CITH, the website I found for kava is global kavaexports.com

Does seem promising for those of us in the UK, if anyone has any experience from the website let us know. =)

And kava candy...they sell kava candy...I know it won't be strong, but still...kava candy!

 
I have a dumb question. What exactly is kava in comparison to kratom? Thinking about trying some kava after reading all of these posts

Kava is for relieving stress and anxiety. It's better than a benzo to me. I have some kava coming from kava king, I'll let you know how it is.

It is my first time having it and i havent even tried it yet. I am r ading about dosing. I wonder if you can mix it with kratom.

THIS! This is what I want from kava! Sooo many people say the same thing and it makes me sad. /default_sad.png. I've tried different vendors/types etc. and nothing. I was told I might have a reverse tolerance. Well that's just great.... (Sarcasm).

I've got some now. A big bag that has been sitting in my drawer for a month. Maybe I should try again.

Yep! You can mix. It potentiates the kratom so you might want to go a little easy on the kratom until you see how your body responds. I hope you love it like everyone else in the world - except me!

How much do you use? Do you have to redose? I've heard 5 tablespoons is a good starting amount but it is hard for me to get all of that down!

 
I use two teaspoons of kava. That's pretty mild anxiety relief, three would probably be better. Hmmm now I'm wondering about five!
I don't usually redose because I do it before bed.

I got my kratom today!!!

I used kratom-k website

ordered 1/17

collected payment 1/20

and recieved 1/23!!!

I dont have time to try it today. Probably won't until Monday because I have stupid work hours. Any fancy tips I should know? Anything to make it stronger? Last longer?

 
i received an order from the herbal cafe after reading some posts here from some of you.

i love when vendors send extras like free samples and was intrigued by the cute hemp bag you discussed. plus free shipping, yay! /default_smile.png

i was all out of kratom (only use it now when desperate and in WDs) so needed some on hand.  i was happy with the whole package they sent me. ordered the red vein, received a sample of the maeng da (impressive because that's the expensive strain), some ginger chews, the hemp bag, and another herbal product i ordered. 

i'm happy with my purchase- but as usual- kratom doesn't do much for me anymore. /default_sad.png  my fault. my 0pie tolerance is too high. no matter what vendor or strain i use- i don't feel it like i used to in the past when i tapered off of opiates and had little to no tolerance. /default_sad.png  and it doesn't take my WDs completely away.  but it's better than nothing.  i wish i could go back sometimes to the good old days when kratom would keep me happy and going all day. /default_wink.png

all of you who are enjoying this amazing plant- don't ruin it by getting into opiates regularly. especially pods. i mean, unless you are with severe pain issues and can't function without strong pain medz. but.. if you are happy on kratom- stay away from anything stronger if possible. just some advice. i regret it.

Sorry that kratom isn't completely getting rid of WDs, at least it's some help I guess...

Have you ever tried FST? It is MUCH stronger than PL kratom and would cover opiated WD better, IMO. I've used it and developed a tolerance very quickly and actually went through some nasty WD symptoms when it became way too expensive to keep it up. I'm on PL now, reds mostly but it was a tough transition. I used Specious Specialist which has the most consistent product. Again, I do not recommend this product to anyone who is satisfied with the effects of PL but definitely for opie WD.

As an aside, I needed to read this today. I literally just asked someone ask pods. I've used kratom or a couple of years now and am completely happy with it. I use for anxiety rather than pain and it does the job for me. I don't won't to fix what's not broken and potentially like pods way more than kratom.

I don't think kava builds up a tolerance like kratom does but too much will make you sick like over doing kratom. (Have you ever used too much kratom? Not good!) You are so lucky to be getting such good benefits from two tsp! I'm so jealous.

Do you have to sift yours at all? My current batch has stemmy things in it. Tried it again last night and as usual... a little relaxing for less than an hour but nothing that would be make want to use it again.

The hypothesis makes sense, only thing I’d be wary of is the irritability of VG, and keep in mind, when VG and HCł are mixed, chlorôhýdrín is produced which is very irritating but that’d have to be pretty strong HÇł I believe and just washing before hand will rid the excess HÇł

N @ necromedic: @ochemdim : anecdotally, especially with the way other people have prepared them with just distilled H2O and maybe EtOH or BA for sterility, I would definitely agree, and I’ve wondered if that it’s due to the speed of drainage with such a low weight solvent. That’s why I’ve experimented with adding VG to increase viscosity to let it hang in the NM a little longer. Possibly more diffusion/osmotic pressure with a dry vs hydrated medium?
