Jewy's Angels - A Place For Classy Dames

I put my pic up when the whole "post your real pic thing" came up.  No one else did, so I took it down.  Someone claimed to have resizing issues, lol.  Not naming any names, Cat.... oops.  /default_tongue.png
I caught a glimpse /default_smile.png

I read a thread from a man, it doesn't matter if you are a man or woman, I believe that all people hurt feel pain through the selfish acts of others, and it is good that men are included. God, I have seen so much cattiness from other woman. Jealousy is a bitch! So the insight of men is needed. I tried A A once and was hated and treated like s! because guys gave me attention for my looks, this is a place where you are supposed to help your fellow addict. Instead I was at meetings getting paper balls thrown at me by grown women, like I would want to date another newly sober addict, that would end up being a catastrophe! But that being said it would be a good idea for a place to talk about girl stuff, periods, menopause, ect,,, thanks for listening!

I kinda got this idea from Maybesomeday's post above........

How about we post our favorite beauty routine trick, product or habit! I would live to hear yours! I will start

I am not a big makeup person, but I love Estee Lauder's Advanced night Repair. Been using it for 30 years and wow...love it! Also signature club A (Adrienne Arpel) 5 in one moisturizer, also been using for very long time. My skin looks great for my age, at least that is what folks tell me. Me, I am my own worst critic.......lol!

Exercise...seriously it is been proven to be anti-aging for your skin!!

Of course at my age and with all my previous injuries, there's a lot of anti-inflammatory and soothing relief action needed after a good workout!  /default_rolleyes.gif

I use oatmeal based shaving cream... costs a ton but leaves my skin smoother than Jewy on ladies night! /default_smile.png

Hi Cat,

For some reason when I read this:

"Advanced night Repair"

I see an automotive garage where you go to get advanced repairs done, haha.

Are you half robot? :)

My mother, older sisters, and I swear by Regenerist by Oil of Olay...awesome stuff for keeping the skin dewy and young looking....or at least YOUNGER looking /default_laugh.png

My personal favorite trick for my face or any body part is to get a loofa type cloth, drench it with a moisturizing cleanser, and then dip it in a bowl of KOSHER SALT and scrub scrub scrub!!!  I swear when I do this to cleanse my face it feels and looks like my baby's bottom!!  Of course if  u have super-sens. skin may not be a great idea.

Ms. Beranda, with regards to your most difficult situation, I find so many thoughtful people offering so many ways of severing ties.  Some harsh, some simple and classy but very difficult.

It is such an uncomfortable and painful situation and, at the risk of being a chick-sheet as MSD said, fade into black...return only every 4th or 5th call with vague "been busy" excuse and keep all convos. very short.   This person should get the hint pretty quick without you having to be somewhat confrontational.  Reading about how classy and tender-hearted you are, not sure if this approach is one you will choose but I have found it to be the least painful.

Good Luck and we're here for ya!

Ok, perhaps I am simply stupid but how come I can't quote or multiquote.  Been trying for a month now and it won't work!

Hi Misery, gosh talk about someone needing a nickname...I'll try to think of one for ya!

Your response was simple, and maybe because I'm just avoiding the hell out of confrontation with this chick, but even though the "fade to black" originally sounded impossible, it is essentially the path I've chosen for lack of any strong motivation to do something.

The person has now exhausted all methods of contacting me, including calling my husband at work...she's a total nut job, and now even he agrees that she is not really capable of acting in moderation in the absence of my input, so chances are pretty good that anything I would say or write to her would be reacted to just with more insanity.

I tried the "I'm really busy right now, dealing with a lot" angle last year, she said she understood.

The most recent email was to inform me that my actions are unforgivable and that I shouldn't just throw away a friend who is this good."

So, the way I see it, I've already acted in unforgivable ways, discarded a friendship of invaluable measure and have caused her to feel a range of emotions from worries that I was hospitalized or dead, to furious at me for being so capable of heartless friendship discarding.

So as to not minimize her experience, I'd say I'm doing quite well at getting out of my own way and letting her grow a strong interest in cutting ME out of her life.

I keep hearing 99's words, damn man that was an amazing post by the way!!

The simple, yet true part about this is that in fact neither is a well suited friends for the other. No blame, no fault, just truth.

Thank you everyone, you have given me an amazing amount of support, for which I am so graciously thankful for.

Peace,

Beranda

Are you also one of them there fancee magic telephone people? Then I can't help.

Okay seriously though, what is your method of comm? pc or smartphone
I can't believe I am going to even attempt this, but since I only just solved the mystery myself 10 minutes ago, I'll share.

I use a "fruity" type phone.

When you are ready to begin selecting your multi-quotes: select the first post, you should see a few options that pop up. Select 'more'. You should then see 'multi quote', select it and now you can go find the other post you wish to select.

I'm curious to know if this works for you, if so I'll begin competing with hooter1 immediately, 'cause I'm certain that if I've got that big mystery solved, I can likely handle anything.

Now if I could just find those darn avatar face choices on my phone, I would be able to insert a guy looking like he just told the biggest doozie ever.

Hooter,

I haven't even yet received my completion certificate FROM Cog School, so if any IT champs want to challenge my abilities, I will gladly submit my letter of refusal in any competition.

I've always been intimidated by competitive sports and occupational type achievements, but not because I am some amazing solo artist either.

I am and will always be a happy spectator type, learning a few things along the way, and always being in awe of those displaying their god-given gifts.

My days of competitive nature...well, they just never existed.

But, I am curious if the multi-quote thing worked.

Thanks Hooter, we all enjoy learning from you and others who no longer play to win, but love supporting those who have the drive to compete.

Peace

B
