Favorite Tv Series

I like Angel better than Buffy but Buffy is good too as long as you don't watch the last season.

Gotham's casting is fantastic with an amazing visual atmosphere; very noir without feeling dated. However i just can't fully engage in the plot. Same problem i have with all prequel type movies or series.....you know that none of the iconic characters can die and how they end up.

I agree with the prequel conundrum, we do know the outcome of most of the characters. In this case, I'm enjoying seeing how they got there. I'm a huge fan of old "noir" movies, this is right up my alley!

Must admit, I do like Angel also... Especially Fred.... Grrrrrrrrr!

I like when Fred goes all blue chick. That was a sad but amazing storyline. Still think Spike is the best character on either show!

For more good shows if anyone is looking for suggestions:

Firefly

Dollhouse

(Okay anything by Joss Whedon!)

Supernatural

Sherlock

Elementary

Doctor Who

Orphan Black

Chuck

Fringe (the first few seasons anyway)

Dexter

Luther

In no particular order!

Ohhh and game of thrones (read the books too they're amazing)

True Blood (the seasons are hit or miss on plot...but lets be honest. We don't really watch this for its plots)

So far Red Band Society is pretty fucking adorable.

Bones

I clearly watch too much TV!

Dang Pyxie! You are a regular Nielsen rating system. We watch a lot too though, ain't gonna lie. Since I "retired " it's become much worse.

I never watched much TV until I was introduced to watching them all in a row when I first got Netflix. Now I'm an addict!

Must admit, I'm the same...

Haven't the patience to wait each week to find out what happens, box sets ate definitely the way forward..

Game of Thrones 1 & 2 were cracking... 3 lost it a bit for me?..

Khaleesi was the only thing that made me keep watching it : )

And yes, blue Fred beats normal Fred! But I agree. T'was a sad storyline...

The fire and ice books are like that too. They sort of forget the people you like and go off to new people or older characters that you don't like. Eventually they swing back around! Unfortunately every little detail becomes relevant and tiny events have big impact later.

Right now it's "Gotham" have to admit I'm hooked. Love the costumes, the bleak, dark sets, the cast; everything!

Best new show award!
Of course I agree with 2E and Wyldepixie! Gotham is the SHIZNIT!

I have tried watching Breaking Bad. Went eight episodes in....just cant get into it. Maybe its cuz of a former Mod named Heisenberg. Lol! Seriously tho, I just cannot get into that show. It is boring.

Love "the Knick". I dont watch that much TV but.......wow!

I'm sorta eh about breaking bad. On one hand there is some great entertainment in there but it's sort of cluttered plotwise and there are as many fails for me as there are awesome moments. Eventually all the characters lose all viewer sympathy and I just stopped watching a few seasons in.

2E-if you like the dark, gritty cop genre try out Luther on Netflix!

Yeah, Luther is good.

It has all the best things about that genre PLUS British accents which makes everything better.

For walking dead fans and fellow zombie lovers try "in the flesh." It has its own unique twist on the genre where its post apocalypse, mankind won, and the zombies have to take meds and mainstream.

Oohs, "in the flesh" sounds outstanding. Thanks!

  1. ontovzik @ ontovzik: When I had long term shingles, lasting two months. All he could give me was a 10 day supply of dilaudid. He looked at the ground while we were talking about it. I could tell he was ashamed but it was the legislature and the governor that tied his hands. He was very upset that non-medical political people, the media, and the scared public were controlling how he treated his patients. Someday those people will need meds and a hospital bed and they will be gone.
  2. ontovzik @ ontovzik: I had a great doctor, he had the true gift of a healer and he stayed on top of all the science. He straight up told me that for many people opiods work for managing short and long term pain.
  3. ontovzik @ ontovzik: He peed it in the snow in my backyard.
  4. WTF7218 @ WTF7218: @xenxra 😆😂. Yes, but only a few brave souls will ever find the number. You must first order a Dirty Shirley from the bartender. Then you must discreetly take the cocktail napkin from under your drink and unfold it. There you will find the map to the location of the phone number, and clues to decipher the code that it is written in.
  5. xenxra @ xenxra: he left his phone number scribbled in a stall at the pub three blocks down
  6. aBBazaBBa123 @ aBBazaBBa123: @rockychoc How do I contact you?
  7. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar I would try one of those easy online ones .. reddit gives useful info about that
  8. Alkazar @ Alkazar: @NYStateofMind I dont really have a history of abusing things, my docotr is just really stingy. I am thinking of switching.
  9. C @ Cheesus: Thanks xenxra

  13. N @ NYStateofMind: so it was easy bc of my history
  14. N @ NYStateofMind: I didnt really tell him but he knew I needed a new script since my dr went to jail
  15. N @ NYStateofMind: @xenxra I was on Adderall since 15 years ago so my dr prescribed that w no problems and then when I lost my best friend my doctor rxed the valiums but
  16. C @ Cheesus: Temp.pm down for anyone else?
  17. xenxra @ xenxra: @NYStateofMind my doctor's have always been pretty open minded if i can actually come in and explain the pharmacological action of the drugs im seeking instead of just telling them why i think i should be prescribed. the only time it didn't work out for me is when i was trying pharmaceuticals for depression ten years ago and suggested they let me try testosterone instead (turns out i was hypogonadal so they made a mistake denying my request at face value)
  18. T @ Testisthebest: Even down here in Florida when the pill mill docs all switched over to Suboxone and/or retired you can still find some pretty liberal docs but you gotta know what to look for. Mine does "pain management, detox, anxiety, etc. And no insurance. My doc writes me 60 5mg Valium, 14 2mg Xanax and asked if I had ever tried adderal to get more focus at work as I told him I run my own business.
  19. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar do they know your history? Like I dont tell my doctor anything about myself except what they need to know,...I was able to get my dr to rx the highest dose of adderall along with valiums ..... if they dont know your history or there is no history I would just come out and ask what is the reason for their mistreatment.... they have no problem billing your insurance or taking a payment for the visit
  20. T @ Turbo259: @Layne_Cobain Thank you fam
