Where Are The Sports Fans?

I never got an accent in the first place, my parents are sweaty socks and moved back up before I could speak, but I go to The Den semi regularly, have an uncle living in Bermondsey though.
I went to the old Den once, for a league cup match that Arsenal won on penalties. It was without a doubt the most intimidating and frightening experience I've ever had at a football match in this country (the UEFA cup final v Galatasary in Copenhagen was worse as large numbers of Turks were openly walking around with knifes, threatening to stab everyone & anyone).

There's a reason you don't go saaf of the river after dark.

Yeah,as the old saying/song goes, "always look out for turks carrying knives". I was only at the old Den 4 or 5 times, and only with my Uncle as I was a still a little bit young. Been down, 6 times this season, and haven't seen a win yet, seen plenty of insipid defeats though........

It's looking grim this year too

I see Millwall lost today, you're right, it's looking bleak this season. The Championship is a tough old league and they must have one of the smallest budgets.

Maybe Scottish? Not even going to take a crack at the other 2.
Tip top 2earls my old China! As an admittedly crap reward, I will tell you that a Gooner is a nickname for a supporter (fan) of one of Londons less well known football teams, Arsenal Football Club, possibly derived from the club's nickname of "The Gunners ", though I may be incorrect in that, I am sure Tom can confirm or correct me! A brummie is a slang description(non offensive and used proudly by the locals themselves) for a native of Birmingham, England. ;-)

Less well known football teams?!?

Not sure that one is correct, I'd say the biggest team from the biggest capital in Europe would be a better description. Yes, Gooner comes from Gunners. The hooligan element of the Arsenal support in the 70's called themselves the Gooners, but now it's a term used to describe all Arsenal fans.

Yeah Tom! I had a feeling the old hooly mob would have an influence too, but I wasn't 100% about it.Sorry, couldn't resist the "less well known " bit!!!! ;-)

Anyway, we're the biggest club in SE16. Hahaha

I used to be a professional hockey player but then I had to quit because all of the gay sex, transexual pornography and money laundering that I got into. Also, all the other players would laugh at my extremely small micro penis and it would make me cry.

But, seriously -- professional hockey: anyone can do it, it's just that easy. All you gotta do is say "I was a professional hockey player." And then, bam! You are one.
HAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I SO get where you were going with this! Lol! Old comment, sorry.......

BAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

scammer

The funny thing is....I just noticed that I had already commented on this, months ago! Lol! I am senile.

Two, you really make me belly laugh! It feels so good.

Chargers fan here too. Also 49ers but live in the SoCal area.

I casually like the Padres and went to their last World Series against the Yankees where they got swept. That was miserable.

Charger fan right here! Same with Padres. I was dating a huge padre fan at the time of that World Series and we had tickets. It was definitely a depressing series.

  4. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: whereas if I use fiat to buy something the money is green anyway. Monero does this really well. Anyway rant over, you can DM me if you'd like to talk more about cryptos.
  5. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: I don't really think that people understand the whole point of cryptos in the first place anymore. BTC just won't be adopted by governments because the transactions are too public and what's worse, money that is freshly minted is better than money that has been used. Like if my btc was used for something that was illegal does that mean the money is "poisoned"?
  6. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: @xenxra Yeah, Like I said I've never really been that fond of btc, it isn't used as a currency, just as a place for people to invest money in, even though the whole purpose of btc was to be a currency. If it doesn't fulfill that role, what does? Monero certainly does.
  7. tiquanunderwood @ tiquanunderwood: What's good guys! Just got back home. Missing football today :( Fuck the probowl lol
  8. shoutback @ shoutback: Volkanovski is the greatest featherweight of all time. Better than Aldo or Holloway at their peaks.
  9. S @ sawganaut: I bet btc bottom is in
  10. D @ dragnetopher: No, I don’t think it. I know it. And it’s not just bitcoin, it’s all crypto. And like I said, they’re selling to acquire liquidity for when countries truly start utilizing what’s been set in place. The USD is under controlled demolition as we speak. This is all part of it.
  11. xenxra @ xenxra: there is no shortage of whales - https://tikolu.net/i/fmnru.png
  12. xenxra @ xenxra: tokenisation is not a plan its already been happening for months, ive been trading this whole move on silver through ethereum
  13. xenxra @ xenxra: you think whales are dumping bitcoin because of something everyone has known about for like 4 years? what does bitcoin liquidity have to do with trading tokenized assets? they don't have pooled liquidity.
  14. D @ dragnetopher: Whales are tanking BTC due to the fact that the future is coming now, literally. There’s a plan to tokenize every single asset possible. This is whales dumping so they can have liquidity for the Springtime.
  15. xenxra @ xenxra: @Gulp2788 this is a terrible spot to buy bitcoin haphazardly because it's going down another $5k -$7k if 80,000 doesn't hold. i told everyone to get the fuck out of bitcoin at $103k. it's better to buy late when the bottom is more certain than throw darts and act like the opposite outcome was unavoidable just because it went down "a lot" and everyone seems to be "freaking out". wait for it to get back over 85k
  16. xenxra @ xenxra: @aarons the last time i said monero was on discount in here it went up 5x in 3 months
  17. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: good opportunity to buy more btc if you are gonna do so imo, me I'm buying the btc to switch into better currencies
  18. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: bah politics, no need to worry BTC is a honeypot anyway
  19. fishladder @ fishladder: down since trump
  20. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: btc has been hovering around 90k for a year everyone is freaking out tbh I am laughing
